The pale-billed flowerpecker, or Tickell's flowerpecker, is a tiny bird of India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and western Myanmar that feeds on nectar and berries and is common in urban gardens with berry trees. It is 8 cm long, one of the smallest birds in southern India and Sri Lanka, plain brownish to olive green with a buff-olive underside and a pinkish curved bill. It has a rapid chipping call (Wikipedia, general species account).

In forest it visits the flowers of mistletoe species and swallows their berries whole, helping disperse the seeds. The Sri Lankan race, ceylonense, is greyer and smaller than the nominate race of peninsular India. Nationally Least Concern (Sri Lanka National Red List 2012).
