Pseudophilautus silus
Range
Both sides of Horton Plains (near Agarapatana and Haputale)
The pug-nosed shrub frog is endemic to southern Sri Lanka and known from both sides of the Horton Plains, near Agarapatana and Haputale. It is an uncommon species, and encroachment by tea plantations, firewood collection, growing settlements and agrochemical pollution are named as threats (Wikipedia, general species account, which is a stub).
Nationally Endangered (Sri Lanka National Red List 2012).
