The Indian blue robin is a small Old World flycatcher of the Indian subcontinent, 15 cm long, once considered a thrush. It is migratory, breeding in forests along the Himalayas of Nepal, India, Myanmar and Bangladesh and wintering in hill forests of the Western Ghats and in Sri Lanka. The adult male has blue upperparts and rufous underparts, with a bright white eyebrow against a black mask that continues down the neck (Wikipedia, general species account).
The female is olive-brown above and buff below with a light eye-ring. It is insectivorous, feeding mainly on the ground, and skulks in undergrowth. It was moved from Luscinia to Larvivora after a 2010 study. The 2012 National Red List gives no status under this name.
